Smiley

Port is 3 months old today! He has blonde fuzz, dark blue eyes that are beginning to lighten, and an easy smile.  He's been sleeping through the night for a few weeks now and loves to be carried around.  The older boys are pretty much adjusted to his presence, although Holden continually asks if he can have a turn to feed Port simultaneoulsy lifting his shirt....

"Can I have a turn to feed the baby?"

Star Wars Party

It’s spring break here in Utah, hence the large number of 6 year olds who attended Marcus’ party in the middle of the day yesterday.  About 16 kids came, all wielding light sabers and ready to fight.  The party was a success – all of the boys were very well-behaved (including the birthday boy, excluding his brothers).  We began with the Star Wars theme blaring throughout the house as the boys arrived and headed to the backyard where they threw fireworks (snaps) and ran around.  Once all had arrived we took the “land cruiser” around the block followed by freeze dance in the living room.  After pizza and cake the boys went on a Easter egg hunt.  Marcus then dived into opening his gifts.  All of a sudden the Imperial March filled the house which was the signal that Darth Vader was loose in the backyard!  The Jedi warriors reacted quickly and overcame the evil forces. Relay races and chalk drawings in the cul-de sac finished the afternoon.  The galaxy is safe once again.
The Invitation.  Marcus invited the boys in his kindergarten class and in the neighborhood.

I was amazed that almost every kid arrived with a light saber of his own.  Even Darth Vader and Wether had one since I borrow 6 light sabers from neighbors.

My sad attempt at a Star Wars cake.  It's actually 4 layers.

Checking out the candy they got in the Easter egg hunt.

Look what I got!

With gusto.

The "Faux Hawk" is the "in" hairdo for boys at the moment.

Darth has arrived!  Too bad Kjell couldn't find half the costume.

Relay races in front of our house.  In the background Pam is doing chalk drawings with the younger kids

Hopscotch.

Pam came to the party directly from the airport.  What a [storm] trooper!  She was visiting my mom and dad in Connecticut with Rachel.  Pam was a huge help as usual.

Photos by Julie

My wonderfully talented sister-in-law agreed to take some pictures of the boys when she visited in February.  Port was exactly 6 weeks old.  The boys loved playing with Aunt Julie during their individual photo shoots.  Thank you!
Port had baby acne for a matter of days...of course it was during the photo shoot.  You're still adorable!

Once again...Port is not normally cross-eyed!
