1 Week Old

Holden is proving to be as sweet natured and easy as Marcus was as a baby. Grandma left last night, leaving me to be a mom of 2 on my own! Marcus loves to "hold" Holden and especially likes when we put Holden next to him in his crib. Wish me luck this week!

New House

After months of searching, Kjell and I finally purchased a house a few weeks ago. What sold us on this particular house was the location (at the end of a cul-de-sac off Center St. in Orem overlooking the Riverbottoms) and the property (.5 acres with beautiful views). The house itself has a lot of potential but certainly needs some work. It was built in 1971 and still sports it's original brown shag carpet, green appliances, and linoleum. We're working with some architects now and hope to move in some time this summer.

Sweet Holden

Holden has been home one full day now. He's spent most of the time under lights in an effort to decrease his bilirubin count. His big brother Marcus isn't quite sure what to make of him yet but so far has been gentle (the cat is still far more interesting:)

Labor!

On Thursday, May 17th I went to the hospital around 6pm. The Dr. had told me that morning that I was dialated to a 4.5 and advised me to head over that night. He broke my water later that evening, which started the contractions right away. Holden Kenneth McCord was born at 1:05 am on Friday, May 18th. He was 6 lbs. 8 oz. and 19 inches long. He is healthy and adorable and we are thrilled to have him in our family! In the first picture Holden is about 6 hours old. The second picture is right when the contractions were starting.

Grandma's Revenge

Marcus has
not been the easiest child as of late (he's 2!), but Grandma has been patient and lots of entertainment for him. They spend hours in the yard everyday. Here is Grandma getting Marcus with his squirt gun that he loves to chase everyone with.

Mother's Day

It was an extra special Mother's Day this year, seeing as I spent it with my mom for the first time in years. She arrived early in the morning from Connecticut and I was able to bring her breakfast in bed per tradition. Marcus brought me beautiful flowers and Kjell cooked an absolutely delicious dinner for me, mom and Pam of coconut shrimp with two sauces, roasted potatoes, steamed broccoli and bread pudding for dessert.
